Ceramic Wall Boxes

are my new love... I enjoy creating sculptural pieces but the feedback I've received over the years is that it's hard to find the perfect spot to display such a piece of art. However it seems that most people can easily find display space for a painting or photograph on any wall in their home. So I have been experimenting with creating boxes as a canvas for my sculptural designs. I will upload some photos soon.

Sanctification of Place

I went to the “Sanctification of Place: A Wood Kiln Installation ” by Richard Rowland out in Hillsboro and this was absolutely amazing. I just happened to have my digital camera with me and took a few photos since this show was only up for 4 days. I heard this was recreated from the actual firing. It was breathtaking to see in person. I believe the frame is shaped like a whale and the bones are made from clay also.

Upcoming Events

I will be one of many artists participating in a show/sale at Space Design on December 2nd and 3rd. I will post more info as soon as i receive it. I will also have new work on display at PCC, Rock Creek Campus mid December - mid January. I have plenty of new pieces fresh out from the kiln. Going to spend some time photographing them this week and get new photo’s up.
